Determining the loose medium movement parameters in a centrifugal continuous mixer using a discrete element method

The processes to form the compositions of loose materials in centrifugal mixers continuous action have been considered. Based on method discrete elements, a mathematical model movement particles rotor mixer was built, taking into consideration their geometric and physical-mechanical parameters. To assess extent influence these parameters nature particle movement, well-known system differential equations used, which built basis classical laws mechanics. process mixing two under different initial conditions modeled. trajectories individual along bottom side wall were calculated. results research reported here established that element makes it possible improve accuracy determining zone. Calculations involved this show length trajectory is 2.9, time 9 times greater than those calculated by equations. known models demonstrated same distribution components mixer. value Pearson correlation coefficient between values coefficients variation 0.758. best homogeneity achieved separating flows mixture reducing distance centers. experimental study carried out using with conical rotor.
